Manufacturing Policies

Please read the following guidelines before ordering.

1. Ordering & Pricing

  • No Returns: Due to the bespoke, made-to-order nature of 3D manufacturing, prints cannot be returned or refunded once processing has begun.
  • Material Costs: The final quote includes the necessary support materialTemporary plastic structures built to hold up overhangs during printing. and purge materialFilament flushed out of the nozzle when changing colors to prevent mixing.. These are compulsory for print completion and factored into your cost.

2. Physical Characteristics

  • Layer Lines: 3D printing is an additive process. Prints will be delivered with visible, directional layer lines inherent to FDM technology.
  • Surface Textures: The bottom surface of each part will carry a different texture depending on the print bed it was manufactured on (e.g., textured PEI, smooth glass).

3. Tolerances, Failures & Shipping

  • Design Tolerances: We are not in control of online or user-provided file tolerances. Assume a baseline tolerance of 0.2mm in design. We are not responsible for producing spinning mechanisms or tight-fitting joints that fail due to the original CAD file's design.
  • Failed Prints & Refusals: Standard failed prints during manufacturing do not affect your cost. However, if a user's file causes repeated, unresolvable failures, or if our partners deem the print requirements physically impossible, we reserve the right to refuse the print job.
  • Shipping Damage: While it is our partners' priority to pack parts securely, we are not directly responsible for damage incurred during transit. Replacement or refund requests for transit damage require valid proof and a reasonable explanation (e.g., a massive, solid part arriving shattered would require review).
